What it boils down to is a cocktail that's part questioning your current focus, part measuring your progress to ensure you're working as effectively as possible, and part decoupling emotional attachment to a task or set of tasks so you can instantly throw a body of work on ice and move onto whatever is most important at a given point in time.<br><br>I echo @rtomayko's comment, great post all around. I try to evaluate myself often, but then catch myself second guessing my evaluation ("is it just too soon to know?" "don't I have to do this anyway?")<br><br>I'm sure though, that if I'm telling myself those things that surely I am working on the wrong things. <br><br>It's just so easy to work on easy, quick tasks that are concrete and you can check off (doing things).
